Greg Howard and Friends
Greg Howard is a musician, composer, and teacher of the Chapman Stick, a unique electric stringed instrument played with a two-handed tapping method. With over one thousand performances in front of diverse audiences (jazz and rock festivals, concerts and clubs, college music series, live radio concerts, street performances) and twelve recordings under his belt, Greg has made the instrument his own. His repertoire includes dozens of original compositions, as well as a wide array of material from the Renaissance through jazz and The Beatles, but his forte is his improvisation. He plays with many local musicians around Charlottesville and will be bringing some friends to the Crozet Arts and Crafts Festival stage.

Matthew O’Donnell

Matthew O’Donnell is a Celtic folk singer and multi-instrumentalist based in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Matthew performs a high-energy blend of traditional Celtic music and modern foot-stomping neo-folk. Drinking songs, traditional folk tunes, sea shanties and singalong standards are given a 21st-century treatment evocative of Mumford & Sons and the Lumineers, while maintaining their traditional spirit through Matthew’s stylized singing and performing on traditional folk instruments such as the accordion, banjo, bouzouki, fiddle, bodhran drum and tin whistle, creating a unique sound that feels right at home in the corner of the local pub and on the concert hall mainstage.

This musical mélange is accented by Matthew’s humor, storytelling and lively audience interaction to form a stunning spectacle sure to put smiles on the faces of everyone in the room.

Field School Boy’s Choir

The Field School Boys’ Choir of Field School of Charlottesville is an all a cappella choral program for mixed male voices, grades 5-8. The choir music is drawn from varying musical traditions including spirituals, folk songs, student-led pop song arrangements, and completely improvised “Circle Songs.” The Field School Boys’ Choir celebrates the developing voice and encourages kids of all ages to start and keep singing!
