Mountain Cove Vineyards

Founded in 1973 by Al and Emily Weed, Mountain Cove is now Virginia's oldest winery. The fully modern winery is housed in a fieldstone building. A rustic salesroom offers a wide variety of wines and gift items. Surrounded by hills, the welcoming lawn invites you to picnic and enjoy our farm.

Our vineyard now includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Norton, Chambourcin, Villard Blanc and Traminette. We purchase locally grown Chardonnay grapes from the eastern slopes of the Blue Ridge in Bedford County. We are one of Virginia's premier producers of fruit wines -- from fruit bought mostly from our neighbors.

We offer winemaker's tours of our winery that will make you a much more informed consumer.

Mountfair Vineyards

Located on the eastern slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Charlottesville, Mountfair Vineyards crafts small-batch, blended red wines using the classic grapes of Bordeaux: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec.

Mountfair Vineyards crafts a limited production of unique and high quality red blended wines. Our wines will not always be available for general purchase. Wine Club members are guaranteed access to all Mountfair wines by receiving automatic shipments of each new wine upon release. Shipments go out quarterly: March, June, September and December.

DelFosse Vineyards & Winery

DelFosse Vineyards & Winery is one of the newest wineries in Virginia. Located in the Hickory Creek Valley of the Blue Ridge Mountains, near Charlottesville and Jefferson's Monticello, our rural setting offers the serenity - and the wine - that only Central Virginia can provide.

We offer tours of our terraced vineyards and historic buildings and visitors can enjoy a tasting of our fine wines. Visitors can also enjoy our public events, wine dinners, food and wine pairing lunches.

Veritas Winery

Veritas Winery, a family business owned by Andrew and Patricia Hodson, opened for business in June 2002; with the help of their daughter Emily they have succeeded in consistently producing a range of complex and elegant wines. The idyllic setting is easy to find but hard to leave, located at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The unique wines of Veritas are all of high quality, derived from vitis vinifera with the exception of one French hybrid. Their philosophy is to make wine with the classic, old-style principles of Viticulture and Vinification, at the same time using state of the art technology to capture varietal and regional character.

White Hall Vineyards

White Hall Vineyards quickly established itself as a producer of fine wine in Virginia, winning the Virginia industry's most significant competition ~ the Governor's cup ~ twice in succession: 1997 & 1998. Today, the winery continues to gain recognition within the state and, with increasing frequency, on a national basis.

Owners Tony and Edie Champ set the tone for the winery's signature style: a fruit-forward richer taste than is typical in Virginia. The Champs' preferences were originally influenced by exploring the California wine industry in the 1960's. They honed their palates on wines of the world during their time in Manhattan. White Hall wines, however, are true to the context of Virginia, expressing both the terroir of its estate vineyards and the elegance which is a hallmark of Virginia's top wines.

Well Hung Vineyard

William Shakespeare famously quipped, "Ripeness is all." At Well Hung Vineyard, when it's ripe, we concoct fine Virginia wines that stand up to any occasion.

Aromatic grapes swell to bursting on sun soaked vines at Well Hung Vineyard. There's something in the soil, something in the air that creates wines that are playful, fruity, bold and vibrant. From the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, climb straight up until you discover our bucolic vineyards nestled in a quiet valley.

Beware of low hanging fruit as you stroll through the rows of ripening grapes. At the tasting room say, "Make mine Well Hung!" And don't forget to swirl, sniff, sip & savor.

Starr Hill

Starr Hill is located in Charlottesville, in a historic storefront on Main Street that was once home to the state of Virginia's first craft brewing operation. In September 1999, Mark re-opened the doors and introduced the "Starr Hill" Brewery. Named after the local neighborhood, the brewery shared its historic building with the legendary Starr Hill Music Hall, and it was there that Mark's delicious craft beers became a favorite to visiting beer lovers, musicians, and music fans from around the world. Fourteen prestigious awards later, Mark's brews continue to be a hit at beer and music festivals nationwide.
