NEW! Distilleries

New at the 2018 Spring Festival, we are pleased to feature local Virginia Distilleries who will be on site to showcase and educate attendees about their spirits.

Belle Isle moonshine distilleryHere at Belle Isle, we’re in the business of good times. Much like the “beautiful island” we take our namesake from, we aim to be a bridge between opposite sides, a meeting point where good people come together and make great things happen. That’s why we decided to bridge together lessons from the past, passion in the present, and dreams for the future, and bottle it all up to make something spectacular. And here’s what happens when you combine tried & true + something brand new. You get Belle Isle Moonshine – a premium, handcrafted spirit to remind us where we’ve been and inspire where we’re headed next. Distilled from good times and 100% organic corn. Virginia Distillery Company is an American Single Malt Whisky distillery located amongst the Blue Ridge Mountains in Central Virginia. Courage & Conviction, our American Single Malt whisky product, is currently being produced on-site using malted barley from the U.S. and water from Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Sherry, Cuvée and Bourbon casks are used to age this unique whisky. We expect to release this whisky in three to six years’ time from casking, with a target release date in 2020. While we wait for Courage & Conviction to age, enjoy our Virginia-Highland Whisky series, made from 100% malted barley. These whiskies showcase both Old World and New World whisky making. Virginia Distillery Company marries single malt whisky made on-site in Virginia with aged malt whisky from Scotland. A focus on cask finishing adds depth and complexity. (website)
